Darkness Falls

A table with books of poetry for sale.

Darkness Falls and my muse is hunting,

Hunting for the prey so deep.

Deep in the darkness no light is shone,

For the light only brings me to dust.

Yes magical dark shadows I do engulf my wings of fire,

To embrace thee with my soul.

I have no other place to cling to,

For I am not wanted there.

The darkness there tells me vent somewhere else,

Take it to one's e-mail they so fondly nurture.

I cannot do that to my dear friends,

For it is those spineless individuals who do not have the balls to take it like it is.

Wake up before you find yourself laying by tombstones,

Reach out and grab the dirt that lays between your toes.

Feel all the warm pressing blood by your skin.

Take it and drink.

You may mourn today for you have nothing else to see,

But you are a NOBODY, got that? NO-B-O-D-Y!

No one cares for the cries you are calling,

No one cares to know of your feelings.

Go to the dark and they will shelter you there,

Leave those losers in the light.

May they be hunted like prey,

And when evening comes may I see the birds picking at their skin in rejoice!
