Living The Dream

A table with books of poetry for sale.

Living the dream that I thought was going to die,

Long before I have lived.

Only to know that I have lived the dream of being here,

Now I wish to die alone.

Living the dream where others have gone before me,

Only to wish I would have.

Knowing I cannot change the hands of time I wish I could,

Now I'm living my life.

Living the dream of seeing pictures before me,

Pleading with my life.

Only to wish that I was not breathing again,

Now only wishing for my grave.

Living the dream that had been struck down,

Long forgotten dreams of the future.

Knowing that whatever path I took it was the wrong one,

Now I wish to start over.

Living the dream that was set before me I know I'm lost,

Long before I grabbed you.

Only to know that I loved you more than anything in life,

Now I wish to love again.
